Why a BabyDice push-chair/ jogger and not a trailer?

Compared to conventional trailers, when your BabyDice tag-along push-chair is towed behind your bike, you will have the secure knowledge that your child is safe in their child bike-seat, right behind you at a touching distance, at your cycling height and is visible by motorists.

With trailers, your child would be sitting close to the road level, hidden in an enclosure and at possible risk of not being seen by motorists.

Young babies and children’s lungs are still developing and vulnerable and need protection from road pollution, which is highest just a few inches above the road’s surface.

When cycling with  BabyDice towed behind the bike, your child will be in their child bike seat at your cycling height, less exposed to road pollution which is more concentrated closer to the road’s surface level. Car exhausts are to blame as they are generally also just a few inches above the road surface level.

Compared to sitting on a push chair or baby bike seat, according to Science Direct, on average pollution concentration levels can be 14% higher when just travelling a few inches above the road’s surface at the same height as most exhausts.

Is it a one or two person operation?

It is a two person operation. Secure your bike safely against a suitable exterior bicycle stand, or held by a second person, so that you can safely remove your child out of their child bike-seat in the normal way.
NB. Once your child has been safely removed from their child bike-seat in the normal way, and if your child is very young and cannot stand by themselves, and/or will wander off, a second person or cycling partner will be needed to hold or stop your child from wandering before proceeding to the next step.

Is the buggy supplied with lights for when it’s being pulled, to warn those behind?

The buggy comes with reflectors and a warning flag (same as on child bike trailers and fixing points). We also recommend that lights are fitted for extra protection.

(Lights are excluded).

Would the folded buggy get wet in the rain when towed by the bike?

We recommend that you purchase two suitable fluorescent cycling rucksack-rain covers to place on the top and bottom of the folded pushchair.

Is the buggy suitable for off-road type of usage?

Yes. It is an all-terrain jogger/push chair.

Does the buggy come in different frame and fabric colours?

No, unfortunately not at the moment. It only comes in the fabric colour or frame colour set by the factory.  The frame colour will normally be silver/grey or black and the fabric colour will normally be in grey. Bespoke fabric colours and frame colours are only possible on orders above 200 units and we cannot accept any returns for other frame and fabric colours.
